In 1952, Guy Nelson Tolliver Jr. partnered with Charlie Curl to establish Tolliver & Curl Paving. For the next several decades, Tolliver led the family-owned company, continuing to work seven days a week until the age of 93. Equipped with a sharp business mind, commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service, he grew the company from its humble beginnings to a premier asphalt paving company in Central Ohio. Tolliver believed in working with clients one-on-one, and he visited job sites on a regular basis.
Shortly before his passing in January of 2018, Tolliver sold the company to Bryan Monesi, a Tolliver & Curl vendor for more than 25 years. From vendors and customers to long-time employees, Guy Tolliver influenced many people, and it’s no surprise that the entire industry mourned the loss. As we move forward without Guy Tolliver at our side, we continue to benefit from his many years of leadership. We will always adhere to the guiding principles and high level of integrity that he established as the foundation of Tolliver & Curl Paving.
